Update March 27, 2020: Harpers Ferry & Bolivar during the Covid-19 pandemic
The Corporation of Harpers Ferry has opted to close all public parking within the Town limits as of today.
The State of West Virginia has issued a Stay at Home order, forcing all of our retail shops to close.
A few of our local restaurants are still offering takeout and/or delivery of selected menu items. Check the EAT page of this site to find out where to get delicious meals and drinks while you are in the area.to find out where to get delicious meals and drinks while you are in the area. The State of West Virginia currently prohibits the on-premises consumption of food and beverages in all restaurants and bars.
As there are currently no public restrooms open in Harpers Ferry/Bolivar, you will want to be prepared to make other arrangements. PLEASE do not ask our small restaurant owners to allow you to use their restroom facilities, as they are not permitted to allow customers inside.
The following buildings/services are temporarily closed at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park: visitors centers, restrooms, fee collection stations, museums, bookstore, and shuttle buses. Visitors may still enter the Park, and Park trails are open, but all parking areas in the Park are closed.
The Appalachian Trail Conservancy has asked hikers to stay off the AT until further notice.
PLEASE take care to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing for your own safety and that of others while you are visiting our beautiful community.
